The single, titled ‘Free’ captures the spirit of Vida Sunshyne, demonstrating her effortless approach to vocal delivery and flow and reminding newcomers and long time fans alike why Vida is a force of spirit and musical talent.

Recorded at Cool Black Studio in Nungua, Accra, ‘Free’ represents a series of observations and inspirations from Vida’s time spent in Ghana. A moment of reconnection and reclamation for Vida as she travelled to Ghana and returned artistically and personally nourished, ‘Free’ is a spotlight on this time.

“It’s basically a summary of all I’d learned during my time in Ghana, and I felt it was important to share that with the world over a Ssnowbeatz instrumental. The final result is poignant and impactful; moreover, it’s a fitting new addition to Vida Sunshyne’s accomplished body of work.
